Ecclesiastes 4:12 "Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken."

Ecclesiastes 4:12 "Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken."
When you have been in a good relationship, you realize the deep importance of intimacy. We were created to need each other. Everything we achieve in life, everything blessing that God pours out, we want to share with the people closest to us. When or if a relationship were to fail, we would definitely sense the loss of that relationship.
This verse offers the key to maintaining successful relationships. In any friendship, or marriage, when we have Jesus as the center.. when He lives in both our hearts..we have a cord of three strands. We need to be more intentional about inviting Jesus into our time spent with friends, and ultimately, we need Him as a permanent part of our marriages. He is the strand in the three cord strand that cannot be quickly broken. We need that third strand. We need Him to bridge any communication gaps, to break any ties that are at an impasse, and even to help us in any ways that we feel that we are falling short in a relationship. He is the One who takes our meager offerings in a relationship and works His loaves and fishes miracle to make sure that everyone is nourished and satisfied.
From my perspective, I can't really see how any relationship can survive without that third strand. Invite Him today into your marriage, and your friendships, and become aware that He is there. You will have a new sense in your relationships of the strength that comes with a three cord strand..that cannot easily be broken.
