Jeremiah 31:3 "I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn you."

The person who accepts and receives God's love experiences a deep-seated satisfaction..that no matter what happens, God is present. The person who accepts God's love invariably must accept God's provision for forgiveness ...Jesus Christ..crucified and resurrected. This is the incredible means that God provided for you to truly feel that deep satisfaction that your spirit has been cleansed and renewed. The key word here seems to be "receive"..
I believe that so many people know in their head the love of God..the provisions of God..but so many have not "received" them into their own hearts. We know that we want to forgive others..but do we also know that it is for our own benefit when we can forgive ourselves. I heard just this morning that a well known speaker had gone into a mental institution to pray for some of the people who were there. The phrase that was heard being said over and over again by many of those people who were institutionalized was.."It's all my fault." Many people have literally driven themselves crazy over not being able to forgive..but it's not other people that they can't forgive..it's themselves.
Have you ever felt like something was all your fault? Do you look at your kids' behavior and feel like it's "all your fault"? Do you remember the argument that you had with your spouse and think "it's all my fault"..Do you remember the mistake you made at work and think, "It's all my fault". Beloved.. today is the day that God wants you to let these things go. God NEVER oppresses. That is satan's job, and he does it quite well.. He holds christians captive by making them think that "it's all their fault", and that nothing can ever be done about whatever it is.
God made provision through His Son, Jesus Christ, for forgiveness of anything you've ever done..past, present, or future. This provision was not just made so that He would be able to forgive you..it was made so that you could forgive yourself also. God doesn't want you holding yourself captive with unforgiveness.
When we can forgive ourselves, we have truly understood and received the provision that God made for us through Christ at the cross. God wants us to live in freedom..not in the bondage of unforgiveness..If we don't RECEIVE what God gives us, it wont do us much good. Also, you can't give out to others, what you don't have yourself. The head knowledge that many of us have about forgiveness has never really made it down into our hearts.
Beloved, your Savior does not want you living by feelings, but by truth...and unless you know that YOU are forgiven, you cannot know the satisfaction of feeling safe in the arms of your loving Father, feeling safe from the assaults of the devil, and the freedom to live life the way God intended. He wants you to know the satisfaction of being free from the weight of guilt. and to know the satisfaction of knowing that He has provided an eternal home for you with Him.
Today, you may not even realize that you have held yourself accountable for past things in your life..but this is the day to do business with God..simply ask Him to show you any areas that you have held yourself in unforgiveness..and then ask Him to help you today to receive His forgiveness in every area..and to see that you indeed have been cleansed. This will not only change your life, but it will free you to give to others what you didn't have before, but have now received. It will also bless the heart of God, to see you living the way He intended. God is drawing you today, with His loving kindness, to receive every blessing He has for you. The question is..will you receive?
