Hebrews 12:2a "Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith..."

I always think of an author as someone who writes a story. I have a couple of friends who are authors. I am thrilled when the Lord inspires them to write. Have you ever thought about the fact that God is the one who has written YOUR story? Have you ever thought about the fact that God knows the beginning from the end? I have a friend who reads every newspaper she can get her hands on, and she watches the news all day. She is continually upset and worried about the economy. I would be too if that's what I was watching.
Beloved, now more than ever, we need to keep our eyes on Jesus..the One who authored our faith..the One who wrote the story of our lives, the One who wrote the story of HIS life..the one who knows how the stories end because He is also the Finisher of our faith..Child of God, I can promise you on HIS authority that when you belong to Him, your story will have a good ending. He has authored it. He has written every page. He knows what is around the next corner. There are no surprises in your life to Him. He was with you in the beginning. He will be with you in the end...but He will also be with you ALL THE WAY THROUGH!
Do you all remember the story of Peter getting out of the boat and walking on water? As long as he kept his eyes fixed on Jesus, he was able to keep walking..but when he took his eyes off of Him, he sank. I think that story is such a good reminder for us today. It is Jesus who is the author of our faith. It is He, who will be with us when the storms come, and when the waves overwhelm us. It is He who will help us to the finish line. We must keep our eyes on Him. We can stumble when we look away from him..when we look at ourselves..when we look at our own strength, when we look at our circumstances, when we try to reason things out. We MUST keep our Savior in sight.
The Lord was inspired to write your life story..you may think that you are the main character in your story..but HE Is..and HE will be faithful through every page.
