"You know my sitting down, and my rising up; You understand my thoughts afar off." Psalm 139:2

I don't know if any of you have ever heard of Chondra Pierce. She was on James Robison's program this morning, and I highly recommend anyone who can, to watch her later today ..I believe his program is on again..you could check your local listings...Her DVD's are also excellent. I think of all the guests I have ever seen on his program, I identify with her the most. She speaks of the emotional wounds in her life and the fact that she has come to know Christ as her Healer.
It is so true..that only God can and does heal deep emotional wounds, even wounds that stem from early childhood...and only He knows WHY some feelings and emotions exist in us. Often we are aware of the cruel words spoken to us by someone..or the reason for our pain..but sometimes, we aren't even sure why we are hurting. God sees the beginning from the end in a person's life...and only He knows how to unravel the tangled web of emotions that trap us into feeling despair.
Your Savior, Jesus Christ, who loves you beyond what words could ever express, desires to heal you. He desires to meet your needs..and meeting your needs is part of an even greater process...because you will find, that as you spend more time with God, and you develop a closer and more intimate relationship with Him, and you begin to realize the love that He has for you..the fact that He cares what you are hurting over..the pain from the wounds in your life will begin to fade. As your love for Jesus increases, your care for this world and what it has to offer decreases. Your concern about what people think of you decreases, and you become overjoyed that the One who formed you and Who knows you intimately, has brought you to a place of safety in Him. He is seeking to draw you closer and closer to Himself.
If today you are facing criticism, or unkind behavior from someone, or you are just in a very difficult situation, ask Jesus to help you to refuse to allow the hurdles that people throw at you into your heart. Ask Him to help you to let go of any incident that comes up during your day. Turn the incident and the person over to Christ and ask Him to work in the situation, and then ask Him to help you to trust that He has done exactly that. Ask Him to restore your peace, and to help you to keep your mind stayed on Him throughout your day!
