For God so loved the world...

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever might believeth on Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
Salvation is not something that God parcels out, bit by bit.. but God makes salvation completely available..and it's not to specific individuals only..but to all who will believe and receive Jesus Christ as Savior.
No person is excluded from the opportunity to believe..and no person is excluded from the opportunity to receive everlasting life. Jesus did not say that those who believe would receive a down payment on everlasting life, or a promise of everlasting life that they would have to work to fulfill. They receive everlasting life..period.
God gave..He gave His only begotten Son..and He would have given Him..just for you. If you were the only person on the face of the earth, God would have given..Christ would have laid down His life..for you. Today, think on that. The love that our Lord has for us is deep, immeasureable, unfathomable, far reaching..it reaches right down into our hearts, and says, "come". If you have believed in what Christ did on the cross for you, but have never received Him into your life..today is the day for you. A simple prayer to invite Him into your life and your heart is the most wonderful decision you will ever make.
When you invite Him into your heart, the Bible says you become a "new man"..old things pass away and all things become new. Today, if you have never done so..give Christ a chance. Invite Him in. Open wide your heart to Him. He will fill you with His Holy Spirit, and in so doing, He will satisfy the deepest longings of your soul.
