Hebrews 8:12 "For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more."

Performing perfectly is not a requirement in our lives. God most certainly does not require it..for He knows that we are not perfect. When our self-worth is based on our performance, anxiety and frustration are nearly always present.
Sooner or later, we all fall short of our own best. We all have moments when we fail. We have moments when we don't achieve to the level we would have liked to achieve...but God does not require perfect performance from us, and to require it of ourselves would be a set-up for failure.
The Lord is merciful to us, even when we fail. We remember our own failures and shortcomings, and we tend to want to remind ourselves of them continually, but God says that he wont even remember those things any longer.
Today, as you go through your day with all of it's challenges, remind yourself that because of Jesus Christ in your life, even when you fail, you can have confidence in the One who carries you..Who has forgiven you, and Who will never leave your side.
