John 6:12 "When they were filled, He (Jesus) said unto His disciples, "Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost." "

You all remember this story..a great multitude had followed Jesus..more than 5,000 people. The people were hungry and the disciples asked Jesus how they would feed so many. There was one little boy there who had five barley loaves and two small fish. Jesus had everyone sit down, and after having given thanks to God, he distributed what He had to the disciples, and God multiplied it. All who were there, were fed..and there was even food left over! Jesus told them to gather up those fragments, THAT NOTHING BE LOST..
Today, I am going to ask you to do something..I want you to go to God today..and offer Him the fragmented parts of your life. I want you to look back at your life..and gather together the hurtful things, the things you don't understand, the trials, the pain, the things that you have questioned..and I want you to offer them to God..THAT NOTHING IN YOUR LIFE BE LOST!
We so often look at our trials and our pain through human eyes, with no clue as to why these things have happened..but God sees the big picture. He sees more than we do. I saw a show recently where they showed a graph of human eyesight. I didn't know this, but the human eye, as amazing as it is..cannot see the entire spectrum on this graph. Physically speaking, we are not able to see things that are outside of the lines that were on this graph..things like electromagnetic impulses, etc...that was eye opening for me. I always thought I could see everything..but I learned that day, that there are restrictions even with my physical eyesight..and it is the same way spiritually. We do not always see through spiritual eyes what God is doing. Often, at some point, He opens our eyes in an area where we've been struggling, and allows us to see into situations..usually, when this happens, we are quickly able to understand the "why" in almost any situation.
My point is that in everything that has happened in your life..whether you would consider it good or not so good, God has purpose in it. You may not be able to see the purpose right now..but with God, nothing is ever wasted. Ask God today, to take your fragments. Offer them to Him as an act of worship. Ask Him to receive the fragments, and use them in your life, to help make you the person that He wants you to become. Only God can take even the most difficult situation, and make something beautiful with it. Only He can take the very little that we offer, and multiply it, so that nothing be lost. Then ask Him to show you how to go forward, step by step. If you will take the first step in offering yourself to Him, He will show you how greatly He can use you..and those things in your life, not only to further His kingdom..but to be a blessing to Him.
