We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure

Hebrews 6:19-20 "We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where Jesus, who went before us, has entered on our behalf"
How easily our souls are tossed about in waves of uncertainty and tides of circumstance. We seem so insignificant out in open water. We are so vulnerable when we rely on our own survical and navigation tactics. But..an anchor, firmly tethered, will keep the boat steady regardless of high seas. Remember, waves are on the surface, and the anchor sits calmly on a deeper level.
Our hope in the Lord anchors the tiny, weather-beaten craft of our soul. Our hope keeps us in the right spot regardless of how impossible it seems to navigate during a storm. Sometimes a storm is no time to try to navigate at all, but a time to get still.
This hope permeates us, through all our many walls and complicated layers. Jesus cuts through all of that like a hot knife through frosting. He goes directly to the secret, sacred places and ministers to us there by holding us firmly. Our lives at times may be tossed about by the waves around us, but our hope is always firmly anchored in the depths of the rising waters..in Christ.
