It's kind of interesting how things work out sometimes..often when many of the things you may have thought were the most valuable things you could ever have are taken from you..when you lose a family member..you lose a job..you lose your home..you lose a friend..you lose your reputation..you lose your health...you lose your comfort zone..you lose your status..anything that you thought you could not possibly live without..you realize that you are still standing...and not only do you realize that you are still standing..you realize who kept you..and who has held you..and not much else seems to matter.
You realize that Jesus is the Rock. You may have lost some of the things in this life that mattered most but you begin to realize that wisdom is priceless. Wisdom is something that God imparts to you..and it is something that God WANTS to give you. Wisdom is what He will use in your life to help you rebuild when you have suffered great loss. Understanding that you have a Savior who cares will carry you through the greatest of trials. Knowing Him..is truly the only thing that matters.
Today, my prayer for each of us..is that we might know Him..in an even deeper way..that we might realize that He is the Rock on which we stand through every difficulty..This Rock..Jesus..cannot be moved. Plant yourself firmly on Him today.
